“A rally in support of immigration rights is planned for Sunday in downtown Salem, and organizers predicted attendance in the thousands.
“A network of organizations in Woodburn and Salem are working to mobilize the community,” said Aeryca Steinbauer, the statewide coordinator of CAUSA, an immigration-rights coalition.
Top issues at the rally include opposition to proposed federal legislation cracking down on illegal immigration, comprehensive immigration reform, creating a pathway to citizenship, unifying immigrant families and protecting workers.”
