Miller’s census plan gains support

“U.S. Rep. Candice Miller’s long-shot bid to stop illegal immigrants from being counted in the U.S. census has picked up support from legislators in Michigan and Ohio, but still has fewer than 40 sponsors in Congress even as tougher immigration laws are debated.

Miller’s bill would amend the Constitution so the number of U.S. citizens, instead of all people, would be used to determine the number of House of Representatives members each state is apportioned after every census.”
