“Oklahoma law enforcement officials probably thought their eyes were playing April Fool tricks on them when they saw the throngs of Oklahoma Latinos converge on the State Capitol yesterday in a 10,000-strong show of solidarity, not only against what is happening in Washington DC, but within the borders of their own state.

For whatever reason, Oklahoma Republican legislators wanted to beat Washington to the punch by applying their own brand of punitive “justice” against undocumented immigrants by compiling some of the most harshest measures into House Bill 3119. “
