“A slim majority of Americans views immigrants as a burden on the country, while the perception of immigrants has grown increasingly positive, according to a national study released Thursday.
The Pew Hispanic Center polled 2,000 adults nationally and then polled another 4,000 in select cities — Las Vegas; Raleigh-Durham, N.C.; Phoenix; and Washington, D.C. — to determine U.S. attitudes on immigration, perceptions of immigrants and support for policy proposals, officials said.”
