“Several hundred Tennessee residents and immigrants supporting amnesty for workers who are in the U.S. illegally held a rally they hoped would send a message to U.S. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist.

The Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition marched from the Coliseum, where the Tennessee Titans NFL team plays, to Legislative Plaza next to the state Capitol. The rally was modeled on a week of protests by hundreds of thousands of immigrants in Los Angeles, Phoenix, Milwaukee, Washington, D.C., and Detroit.”
