“The debate over immigration reform that is raging across the country has also taken hold in the Midstate.

As legislation for immigration reform makes it way through Congress this week, some residents of Middle Tennessee are voicing their support for amnesty, while others are calling for stronger law enforcement, including deportation of those who are here illegally.

Amnesty supporters hope to rally more than 3,000 people to march in Nashville this evening and gather at War Memorial Plaza in a rally organized by the Tennessee Immigrants & Refugee Rights Coalition and other Latino groups.”
