“The only thing more complex than the immigration law the Senate will start overhauling this week is the politics surrounding the debate.

A politician’s position is often based on whether they’re a Republican or Democrat. Often views break along regional or state lines. Sometimes it’s big states vs. small states.

None of those formulas work when it comes to immigration.”
