“Fifteen years ago, a group of Cuban Americans got together to kick around ideas for helping underprivileged children in Miami. Today, Amigos For Kids is one of the most successful homegrown charities in South Florida.

Led by Chairman and co-founder Jorge Plasencia, a Hispanic marketing guru of sorts, Amigos is launching an all-out ad blitz against child abuse to plug the group’s 15th anniversary.”
