“The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC), the nation’s leading advocate for Hispanic-owned businesses in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, is pleased to announce that Senator John McCain (R-AZ) will address an Immigration Summit to be held on Tuesday, April 4th, 2006, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. Sen. McCain will join Sen. Sam Brownback (R-KS), Rep. Jim Kolbe (R-AZ) and Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) as well as Mexican Ambassador Carlos de Icaza, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Vice President Randy Johnson, Service Employees International Union Executive Vice President Eliseo Medina, immigration expert Tamar Jacoby and prominent business leaders and immigration experts in an insightful, informative session that will provide congressional, business and international perspectives on the issue of immigration while addressing legislative proposals for immigration reform that are currently being debated in the U.S. Senate.

The Immigration Summit is designed to offer a thorough bipartisan review of the different economic aspects and challenges presented by the highly complex and politically-charged issue of immigration reform. The event concludes with a question and answer session where session participants will have the opportunity to pose their comments and concerns directly to the decision-makers and experts involved in the national immigration reform debate”
