“Byron Macias joined more than 100 other Kentuckians at a Capitol rally yesterday in hopes of persuading the Senate to write a bill that wouldn’t make criminals of undocumented immigrants and people who serve them.
Hours after the rally, which drew an estimated 3,000 people, the Senate Judiciary Committee approved a compromise bill without criminal penalties for those immigrants who are in the country illegally.”
