“Thousands of students marched off campuses or didn’t show up for school throughout the county in a second day of protests over proposed immigration reforms.

An estimated 800 students walked off from three middle schools and five high schools, said San Diego Unified School District spokesman Steven Baratte. The schools were Memorial Academy of Learning and Technology, Correia Middle School and Bell Junior High School, and Kearny High, Clairemont High, Morse High, Madison High and San Diego High, Baratte said.”
