Blacks in Los Angeles Have Mixed Reaction to Massive Immigration Rallies

“As members of Congress debated immigration legislation Monday, one Los Angeles community activist urged black Americans to not look at illegal immigrants’ efforts to protest proposed reforms as a threat to their own well-being.

Instead, Damon Az Ali said, blacks should see the protests spreading across the country as a way to unite and fight for rights of all people of color.”
