“In our last issue of LMN , No. 167, we published the results of a recent survey conducted by USA’s Tracking Poll showing the level of support of adults of various ethnic groups for Governor Tim Pawlenty. Our article summarized then current approval ratings for whites, blacks and Hispanics, as reported by Tracking Poll.

Although the reported data which we highlighted addressed then, the most recent approval and disapproval ratings as of February 13, 2006. We also published two charts which gave a more detailed report of the changing dispositions of each of those population groups over a period of time extending from May 10, 2005 through February 13, 2006. Those re-printed charts were unfortunately a little too small to be clearly legible for many readers. We are embarrassed about, and apologized for that publication mistake. We also regret that our article may not have provided clearly an overall, more balanced view of the vacillating approval/disproval ratings enjoyed by Governor Pawlenty over the past nine months. “
