Columbus Hispanic firms count for 16% in Ohio

“Central Ohio was home to 1,166 Hispanic-owned businesses in 2002, about 16 percent of such businesses in the state, the Census Bureau said Tuesday in a report.

In its findings, the Census Bureau said Hispanic-owned businesses across the country grew at three times the rate for all companies between 1997 and 2002. The businesses totaled 1.6 million, up nearly a third from 1997, the bureau reported.”
