“Mexico joined the U.S. debate on immigration Monday with full-page newspaper advertisements advocating a guest-worker program to help deal with millions of illegal Mexican immigrants living in the United States.
The ads in The Washington Post, The New York Times and the Los Angeles Times preceded the start of Senate deliberations next week on President Bush’s call for a comprehensive overhaul of the nation’s immigration laws.”
