Femsa´s prospects on the rise

“On St. Patrick´s Day, or any day, investors in beer-and-soft-drink company Fomento Económico Mexicano SA - known as Femsa - should be in fine spirits.

That is because Latin America´s largest beverage company has been brewing up growing sales of its Tecate, Dos Equis and Sol beer brands.

Some on Wall Street have been focusing lately on the stock prices of beer giants such as Anheuser-Busch Cos. and Molson Coors Brewing Co., arguing that their shares, underperformers for more than a year, are cheap now.
