“An Aspen Middle School teacher has been partially suspended after refusing to administer standardized tests, saying verbally translating multiple-choice questions for Spanish-speaking students is unfair and subjective, the teacher and an officials said.

Sam Esmiol, 38, said the state and federally mandated Colorado Student Assessment Program tests “discriminate against Latino students and treat teachers unfairly.”"
