“BLUE ISLAND — A Spanish-language weekly newspaper will soon debut to serve the city’s growing Hispanic community.
La Raza, which for years has circulated in Chicago and some northern suburbs, has chosen Blue Island for its foray into the south suburbs.
“I think we should have La Raza here in Blue Island,” Ald. Leticia Vierya, one of the city’s two Hispanic aldermen, said at a Tuesday night City Council meeting.”
