Have you ever been to Univision.net? First time I had to accept a legal Terms of Service page before I could even look at the site.

Knowledge is Power!

I have visited many many sites in my years but I have never encountered a very long contract (Terms of Service TOS) before I could see a site. This happened only the first time I visited univision.net, the corporate site, but the contract is there in both Spanish and English for first-timers.

When you first go to the site you are offered a choice of English or Español clicking either brings up the contract. If you don’t see this that means there is a Univision cookie on your computer and you will have to erase it if you want to go through the trouble of viewing it, or just click on the links above to view the contract you have to accept.

I have to say I was slightly offended. I bet very few people actuallly read the text and just click the accept button. It just seems to me that as a user I shouldn’t be forced to accept a contract just to look at your site. Who knows maybe I am wrong. Maybe all sites should do this, it just seems to be another way to annoy a web user. This is just my 2 cents.
