Knowledge is Power!
“Judge Brooke Peterson ordered the Latin lover turned Rocky Mountain slugger to pay a $200 fine and if Miguel, 35, has no criminal violations over the next year, prosecutors agreed to drop the case. Miguel did not attend court but his attorney, Lawson Wills of Glenwood Springs, released a statement on his behalf.
“Luis Miguel wishes to thank the Aspen City Attorney’s Office for seeing the case as it truly is, that is a textbook case of self defense. It is Mr. Miguel’s position that he has a right to defend himself from intoxicated and aggressive individuals who may accost him without invitation or provocation,” the statement reads. “Mr. Miguel similarly has a right to protect himself from a bar manager that started a physical altercation by forcefully pushing Mr. Miguel.” “
