“Six members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, including five from California, have split from their group’s fundraising arm because of concerns about donations to caucus members’ relatives.
The fundraising committee’s chairman, Rep. Joe Baca, D-San Bernardino, defended the donations.
The members ”” including Democratic California Reps. Linda Sanchez, Loretta Sanchez, Hilda Solis, Dennis Cardoza and Jim Costa ”” asked in a March 1 letter to be removed from any materials that connect them to the committee, known as the Building Our Leadership Diversity PA”
