The University of Michigan is launching a Spanish-language version of its University News Service to reach out to Hispanics and to provide the latest information about its health, educational and cultural research.

“The Spanish-language news service, which was to be announced today, will cost about $100,000 a year.

Hispanics are now the largest and fastest-growing minority group in the country, and U-M officials said it’s part of the university’s mission to disseminate knowledge as widely as possible.”
