“The Cen-Tex Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has become a target of criticism as its executive director awaits trial this Wednesday on a misdemeanor assault charge of “offensive touching.”

A group of chamber founders and current members is circulating an open letter urging the chamber to take personnel action against Joe Rodriguez, who has continued in his position without leave since police charged him with assault Jan. 25. A woman has accused Rodriguez of taking her to Cameron Park East on Dec. 28 and making “inappropriate advances of a sexual nature.”
