“”Ingles,” “integracion” and “participacion” ”” English, integration and participation in the Spanish language ”” were three keywords that about 200 parents heard at Glencliff High School yesterday.

They came to Metro Schools’ first Hispanic Outreach Event to talk with schools officials about how to improve communication between the schools and Spanish-speaking parents. Their children are among the fastest-growing populations in Metro schools, but their test scores lag behind other groups’ scores.”
