Workshop lets Latinas tell ‘personal journeys’ in U.S. Pennsylvania
“People might be surprised by what Dagmaris Cabezas has to say about Latinas in U.S. history, and that’s a good thing.
“There’s an importance of reclaiming the contributions and the history of Latina women in the United States. Their contributions didn’t begin with immigration,” said Cabezas, a resident of Tobyhanna. “Before we were immigrants, we were here first. I’m going to focus on unearthing that hidden history, which is really now starting to come out in reference works.”"
