“Denver Manager of Safety Al LaCabe said Tuesday he has not found any evidence that Hispanic police officers are subject to discrimination or a hostile work environment, but he agreed the city needs to recruit more Hispanic officers to better reflect the city’s population.
The safety manager also said he was not disappointed by the class-action complaints filed by Hispanic officers against the Denver Police Department, saying that such legal action “can bring about effective change.”"
