“A recent survey of Latinos across California indicates that 64 percent oppose doctor-assisted suicide. The survey was conducted between February 6-17, 2006 by the respected Democratic polling firm Fairbank, Maslin, Maullin & Associates.

Of those Latinos surveyed, 49 percent indicated that they “strongly disapprove” of doctor-assisted suicide, 15 percent “disapprove,” 17 percent “somewhat approve” and only 12 percent “strongly approve.” When respondents were read a series of arguments for and against assisted suicide, the number who “strongly oppose” assisted suicide increased to 58 percent.”
