Latina strong with Southern flavor

“I am a white woman who’s been married to a Latino for 24 years. I converted to his religion, learned to speak Spanish fluently, and basically adopted his culture. His parents have been wonderful.

One of his brothers, however, constantly puts me down because I was born and raised in the South and love country music and everything Southern. He will say things such as, “Were you and your family in the KKK?”"
