“HOBOKEN - The lack of diversity at the pre-school level touches on an even larger dilemma in the Mile Square City.

According to the 2000 Census, whites are 80 percent of the city’s 38,577 population - but just 19 percent of the school district’s 2,235 students, according to district records.”
