Susana had found herself on the receiving end of a smear campaign after she accused some officials in the Dallas Mexican Consulate of telling Mexican nationals accused of serious crimes to return to Mexico rather than face the U.S. judicial system.
At the time, Susana was waiting for the Mexican government to come and investigate her accusations.”
