“There are both business and cultural implications from the predicted growth of the Hispanic population in northwest Louisiana, and the area is wise to be getting ahead of the curve through events like the most recent Economic Outlook Conference. The annual event — sponsored by LSUS, AEP-SWEPCO and The Times — considered the impact of that growth and the attractions of this area to Hispanic workers and families.

He pointed to Shreveport-Bossier City’s own benefits of good work, clean air and relatively small size.”
