Campaign continues to add Latino Studies at Northwestern. Illinois

“Weinberg sophomore Sonia Hart and her committee of about fifteen students from campus multicultural groups have talked to administrators and faculty in support of a Latino Studies program. They’ve donned homemade armbands. They had a resolution passed unanimously through Associated Student Government Feb. 22. They collected 750 student signatures at The Rock on Tuesday, where they served sweet bread, hot chocolate and juice before a banner that read “We, the Northwestern community, call for the immediate action toward the development of a Latino Studies program.””
