US government, Red Cross not ready to serve Latinos

The National Council of La Raza, in a report, accused the federal government and the
American Red Cross of being unprepared to address the needs of Latinos and other communities “of color” in the event of a disaster.“The disaster response — both public and private — was a disaster for Latinos and other communities of color,” NCLR president Janet Murguia said in a statement.”
