“Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.) said Monday he’s preparing a platform to run for mayor — whether or not Mayor Daley seeks re-election — and will decide by this summer whether or not to use it.

“Anyone can be beaten. Not only Daley — anyone. And the moment you believe you’re undefeatable is the moment you have great problems,” the congressman said after testifying before a City Council committee on immigration issues.”
