“Univision Communications has announced that Entravision Communications has agreed to repurchase 7 million shares of common stock in the Spanish language broadcasting company. The stocks come to a total value of approximately $51.1 million, and the transaction is slated to close this Thursday, March 2.

As part of Univision’s acquisition of Hispanic Broadcasting Company in 2003, the company agreed to reduce its ownership stake in Entravision down to 15 percent by March 26, 2006. The buyback of stocks accomplishes this goal.”
