“The percentage of Hispanics working in the federal government increased during the last fiscal year, but still lags behind the private sector.
According to the Office of Personnel Management’s “Federal Equal Opportunity Recruitment Program FY 2005” report released last week, Hispanics represented 7.4 percent of the federal workforce in FY 2005, compared to 7.3 percent in FY 2004. Hispanics represented 12.6 of the private-sector workforce in both years.”
