“The president of Sherman Hospital in Elgin on Wednesday denounced what he called a campaign of “false allegations” and misrepresentations spread among the city’s Hispanic community about Sherman’s proposal to build a new hospital.

Rick Floyd, Sherman’s chief executive officer, sent a letter to the state agency that is reviewing Sherman’s plan for a $310 million facility on the city’s west side in which he attacked the motives of two men, Jesus “Jesse” Martinez and Jesus Espinosa.”
