“None of those who lost their jobs during the event, which was designed to show what life in the United States would be like without immigrants, came from Cumberland County, southern New Jersey coordinator Ramon Hernandez said.

Bridgeton, Vineland and Millville fielded almost half of the estimated 2,000 to 3,000 people to participate in a Philadelphia rally that capped the 24-hour Valentine’s Day work stoppage, or “paro.””
