“Changes in Columbus Public Schools health services was a primary issue Hispanic community leaders discussed Thursday with school officials.

At the monthly meeting, parents expressed concern about the school district’s plans to reduce the number of registered nurses from four to two and hire six certified nursing assistants.

Columbus Public Schools Superintendent Paul Hillyer said the proposal was in response to the lack of routine health coverage at the elementary schools”
