In a “fitting tribute” to a former governor, Gov. Janet Napolitano announced Thursday the formation of the Raul H. Castro Institute for public policy at a gala held at the state Capitol. Arizona

“The 89-year-old Castro and his wife Patricia, who are residents of Nogales, were joined by about 350 others when Napolitano also proclaimed Feb. 16 as Raul H. Castro Day in the State of Arizona.

The institute that will carry his namesake will work to identify issues facing Latinos in Arizona.”
