After carrying out a project to assess alcohol advertising in their communities, some local Latino students are reacting to a recent report by a Georgetown University center.

The report, published last year, found that Hispanic youths saw and heard more alcohol advertising per capita in 2003 and 2004 than youths in general.

In several English- and Spanish-language media, Latinos age 12 to 20 were exposed to more alcohol advertising per capita than young people in the same age bracket in general, the Center on Alcohol Marketing and Youth (CAMY) reported.”
