Hispanic Catholics show unity in Michigan

“Holding hands and dancing to guitar music, Hispanic Catholics prayed to stay united and help one another grow in faith.

“We stay together despite the absurd wars,” they chanted in Spanish. “We throw the fishing net in deep waters.”

More than 480 teenagers and young adults, ages 14 to 30, from Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, and Michigan met this weekend at the First Great Lakes Region Encuentro for the Hispanic Youth and Young Ministry Conference.”
