“College-bound Latino students in search of financial assistance and mentoring can turn to the Beca Foundation for help.

The nonprofit organization, founded in 1984 by North County Latino professionals, offers scholarships to San Diego County students headed for or already attending four-year institutions. Applications are due March 2.

The scholarships range from $500 to $2,000 for one to four years and each recipient is matched with a mentor who will provide guidance as they go through college.”
