“More than 200 people honored five community leaders for their selflessness at an annual League of United Latin American Citizens banquet Thursday night at the Omni Bayfront Hotel.

Ramiro “Gambi” Gamboa, civil rights chairman for LULAC, said the five were chosen for their efforts in helping others and giving back to the community in Council No. 1’s 10th annual Community Leaders Awards Banquet.”
