“The brightly colored, undulating tile roof of Barcelona’s Santa Caterina Market settles over its city- block-sized square like a picnic blanket caught unfurling. It’s the first image you see in “On-Site: New Architecture in Spain,” now at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. It’s an image that plays to a tourist’s idea of Spain as a sunny playground.”
