“More Texas students are taking Advanced Placement courses and exams, particularly Hispanics, but black student participation in the rigorous, college-level program still lags behind, according to a study released today by the College Board.

Latinos, African Americans and Native Americans traditionally have been underrepresented in AP classes.”
