California air regulators rule Mexican trucks must meet U.S. standards

“Air regulators say foreign commercial trucks coming into the state will soon have to meet U-S air pollution standards.

The Air Resources Board says at least four-thousand trucks operate in California on any given day without meeting U-S Environmental Protection Agency pollution standards. Most are from Mexico, since most Canadian vehicles are built to U-S specifications….”
