Mexican rockers trying to get more young voters to polls
Tagged: los tigres del norte, Paulina Rubio“A group of Mexicans have launched their own version of the U.S. Rock the Vote campaign to persuade young voters, who have proven to be as apathetic as their U.S. counterparts, to participate in the July 2 presidential election.
Named “Tu Rock es Votar” or “Your Rock is to Vote,” the campaign will bring together a range of entertainers including rockers Fobia, Latina pop diva Paulina Rubio and more traditional Mexican musicians such as Los Tigres del Norte, organizers said in a Tuesday news conference….”
