“Building on the network’s strongest Copa Nissan Sudamericana season to date, Fox Sports en Espanol continued to record massive ratings in early January. According to Nielsen Media Research, national Hispanic Household ratings for Fox Sports en Espanol’s exclusive live telecasts of the recently concluded 2006 InterLiga tournament increased 129% from a .7 in 2005 to a 1.6 for the 14-game tournament held January 4-15 in four U.S. cities. In addition, the finals from 8-11 p.m. on January 15 delivered the second-highest prime time ratings for the night in all of Spanish-language television. These latest results provide the perfect lead-in for the network’s exclusive and live coverage of Copa Toyota Libertadores, which kicks off today with the highly anticipated first round match-up between last year’s semifinalist Chivas de Guadalajara (Mexico) and Colo Colo (Chile). …”
