In one version of a Wikipedia entry, Ayala is described as a “hispanic criminal from Las Vegas, Nevada. On the latest version of the entry, it’s been cleaned up to say “American criminal.”

Yet, whether we like it or not, those among us who warrant media attention because of wrongdoing, garner longer news interest more for ethnicity than the crime….”
